The system is easily reset by simply snapping the arm back into place.

The Breakaway Kit is designed for aluminum arms only and can be set to breakaway from either side of the cabinet.

You Don’t Have To Stop Just Because They Don’t

DoorKing’s breakaway hardware kit for Model 1601 Parking Gate operators prevents costly arm replacements by allowing the arm to swing out of the way in the event a vehicle fails to stop at a lowered arm. If the arm is struck and breaks away, the gate operator automatically shuts down. The system is easily reset by simply snapping the arm back into place. The breakaway kit is designed for aluminum arms only and can be setup to breakaway from either side of the cabinet.

    Features
    • This kit is designed for use with 1601-080 and 1601-081 parking gate operators only. It cannot be used with 1602, or 1603 operators.
    • The kit provides a break-away bracket assembly for an aluminum arm only.
    • If the arm is struck and breaks away (pivots in one direction only, see below), gate operator will automatically shut down.
    • The arm simply snaps back into the release rollers to function normally again.
    • Breakaway Hardware Kit 1601-295 is required.

     

    Break-Away Arm Direction Options

    Arm will only pivot in ONE DIRECTION depending on which way the break-away arm bracket is installed. Choose the desired break-away direction and install break-away arm bracket accordingly (note: the position of the arm pivot bolt and release rollers).
